Bavarder sa maison was presented at the Maison de la culture Maisonneuve in December 2023.

Prior to this participatory exhibition, I held several zine creation sessions with around a hundred children from the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighborhood in different contexts (organizations, libraries, festivals, etc.) on the theme of home as a safe space .

I quote Judge Edouard Durand here: “The house must be the place of protection: outside, lots of things can happen but, when I come home, I will be safe and as a child, I will be protected.”

Over the course of this year, the children and I thought together about how we could use the micro-story and the zine as a tool for the safe release of speech. During the exhibition, neighborhood families were able to participate and add their voice to the installation.
