A small talk and zine co-creation session with eleven residents and one guest from the Nouveaux Horizons retirement home in Havre-aux-maisons (Magdalen Islands, Canada): Almonza Chiasson, Bibiane Turbide, Gemma Leblanc and Aline Paquin, Alma Poirier, Lucia Leblanc (and her daughter Marielle), Cécile Vigneau, Madeleine Miousse, Gisèle Boudreau, Maguerite Langford and Annette Cyr.
Zines were created around topics such as: crafts and domestic work; the river, children’s stories and childhood; activities residents enjoyed before their bodies got in the way. Several hours of small talk touched on these and other topics such as family life, motherhood and the land.
